Instructional Piano Arrangements for All Skill Levels

FAQ

Who creates the piano arrangements?

All arrangements are created by me, Jakob Linowitzki. I personally arrange every piece available on this website.

This website is entirely run by me. It’s not a company project or a large team — I’m personally responsible for the arrangements, content, and everything else you find here.

There are two main reasons. Setting up and managing a global online shop involves quite a bit of bureaucracy. More importantly, copyrighted works can only be legally sold under the appropriate licensing arrangements.

For this reason, I work with Musicnotes.com, which allows me to offer my arrangements legally while taking care of the necessary licensing and sales infrastructure.

At the moment, I don’t offer free sheet music. Creating a high-quality piano arrangement takes quite a lot of time and care, and selling the arrangements helps make it possible for me to continue creating new ones.

I hope you’ll understand — and that you’ll find the arrangements worth the investment!

Yes! The arrangements available through Musicnotes.com are offered through the appropriate licensing arrangements, so you can purchase and use them with peace of mind.

In principle, yes! However, the rules for public performances vary from country to country. Depending on where you live, you may need to notify a copyright collection society and, in some cases, pay a licensing fee.

In Germany, for example, this is handled by GEMA. For other countries, please check the regulations that apply locally.

As often as I can manage! I put a lot of time and care into every arrangement, while also trying to create new material regularly.

So if you check back from time to time, there’s always a chance you’ll find something new.

I’d love to arrange many more well-known pieces, but unfortunately, not every copyright holder currently works with Musicnotes.com.

For example, music from Harry Potter and Star Wars currently can’t be legally arranged and sold through the platform. While you may find unofficial arrangements elsewhere, I only offer arrangements that can be licensed and sold legally.

The difficulty scale consists of 20 levels, ranging from very easy to highly challenging.

You can find a detailed explanation of the different levels here.

Sometimes one arrangement simply isn’t enough to suit everyone. I offer different versions of certain pieces to cover different difficulty levels — and, in some cases, different playing styles.

This way, you can choose the version that best matches your playing ability and preferences.

The way Musicnotes.com provides purchased sheet music is determined by Musicnotes.com itself, and unfortunately, I don’t have any control over their platform or download options.

For the most up-to-date information, please check the details provided directly by Musicnotes.com.

Absolutely! I’m always happy to hear what you’d like to play.

You can use the contact form to send me your suggestions — whether you have a specific song in mind, would like to see a piece at a particular difficulty level, or are interested in a four-hand arrangement.

I can’t promise to arrange every request, but I really appreciate the ideas and inspiration!
