The song Wiegenlied, Op. 49 No. 4, was composed in 1868 by Johannes Brahms and is also known under the title “Guten Abend, gute Nacht.” It is one of the most famous lullabies worldwide and is still commonly sung to soothe children and help them fall asleep. The original text was written by Georg Scherer, while Brahms composed the music.
I have arranged the piece in seven different versions for piano: Versions 3–7 are in E-flat major, Version 1 is in G major, and Version 2 is in C major.
