FAQ

Who creates the piano arrangements?

All arrangements are created by me, Jakob Linowitzki.

This website is entirely run by me. It’s not a company project – I’m responsible for all the content.

First, setting up a global online shop would involve a lot of bureaucracy. Second, I can only sell copyrighted works legally through Musicnotes.com. That’s why I cooperate with them instead of selling directly here.

Writing high-quality arrangements takes a lot of time and effort. For that reason, I don’t offer free sheet music – quality work deserves fair compensation.

Yes, absolutely! Through my cooperation with Musicnotes.com, all copyright requirements are fully respected.

No, that would be illegal. Copying would violate both the composer’s copyright (or whoever owns the rights) and my copyright as the arranger. Each student needs to purchase their own copy, even if you’re teaching at a music school with general licensing agreements. These do not apply here.

In principle, yes. However, depending on your country, you may need to notify a copyright collection society (and possibly pay a fee). In Germany, for example, this is handled by GEMA. For other countries, please check the local regulations.

As often as I can manage to write them! I put a lot of effort into creating new material regularly.

Unfortunately, not all copyright holders cooperate with Musicnotes.com. For example, music from Harry Potter or Star Wars currently can’t be legally arranged or sold there. Some people do it anyway, but I don’t take part in illegal activities.

The difficulty scale consists of 20 levels. You can find more information about it here!

I offer different versions of the same piece to cover multiple difficulty levels – and sometimes even different playing styles.

I have no control over how Musicnotes.com handles this. Please check their website for details.

Yes, absolutely! Use the contact form to send me your ideas – whether it’s a specific song, a particular difficulty level, or even a four-hand version. I’m happy to hear your suggestions!
