Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

The song Do You Want to Build a Snowman? was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for Disney’s animated film Frozen (2013). It is performed by the characters Anna and Elsa at different ages and illustrates the growing emotional distance between the sisters after Elsa isolates herself because of her magical powers. The song combines spoken dialogue and melody to show Anna’s loneliness and her repeated attempts to reconnect. It plays a key role in establishing the characters’ relationship and the film’s central theme of sisterhood.
Version 01a is written in the original key. Since many students start in middle C position or similar systems, I also wrote a version in C major (version 01b).
